I said this on the last page, but Rukia being less stoic is just emphasizing how cute she can be when she's just in the moment and not thinking about Soul Society honor.  Plus I can so see Michelle Ruff performing all this while still somehow being in-character!  Rukia, never stop being yourself. :3    And of course, Yachiru isn't too bad on the eyes either.
