You know...... I'm starting to REALLY like Samhain. He's just so deliciously into being evil and and he doesn't resort to campy comedy- you CANNOT imagine him in an ecchi comic at all. I imagine him with the voice of Mark Hamill's Joker! Plus, he can turn the sharp end of his scythe into a lantern-cocoon thing and he can glow like a jack-o-lantern when lit on fire! Badass!

I experimented a bit with the way I draw here. When Samhain is lit, the outlines are gone and I rely only on thick fill brushes, making me literally paint. It's a very striking and raw result which I don't use in comics often.

I am drawing this in the middle of Hurricane Sandy with my laptop on its battery... NOT because I lost power (I did not) but because I want to conserve energy! ...I even included a hurricane in the fifth panel where his lantern is.

I am ALSO badass!
